What struck me before starting this blog? Was just going through a video "Parties, Campaigns and Representation: The Political Impact of Blogs and Social Media" and thought Indian Politics really needed such a more open approach towards the use of the internet in politics. I think commentary was essential on this subject.
The current political struggle in India has had various dimensions and the Internet was used wonderfully by one party and disastrously by the others. India Against Corruption has used social media wonderfully to really make an impact and have been able to mobilize people and have made people sync up in a manner beneficial to both.
On the other hand, the Congress, the BJP and Baba Ramdev have easily allowed the media, the social media and the people on the internet to make up their own views and hence do not really have the support Anna Hazare and gang have been able to generate.
The video below will really explain how things on the internet really affect Politics globally.
